The internet talked me out of the ugly jacks, so we bought the “BAL 23222 Set of 2 “C” Jacks with Handle – 22″”, which seem to be the same as the Airstream ones without the long jack bolt extension. I also bought the “BAL 23205 – Connecting Channel” so we didn’t have to install it into a crossmember.
The screws it came with were pretty cheap and small, so we marked out the frame with some chalk lines and I installed them with some 5/16 self-tapping bolts (these are GREAT!) just in front of the frame repair.
The installation was pretty quick once I figured out where I wanted them and I cut one of the handles so I could chuck it into a drill for quick extensions or retractions.
There was some debate about installing front jack, but it’s a little shaky in the front, so I have to remove all the crap installed to the belly pan, patch some holes, and rivet a bunch of fallen sections before I can get them installed.
